Hi,

Looks like an advance on anything that's out there. Far more authentic as well.

The sculptor must have put a lot of work and effort into the masters. It would be nice to see a close up of the casts as well ........... Beg beg grovell grovell............

All the best,

Jon

I like it. and like Fox, WHEN DO WE SEE SOME CASTS!!
This mould looks very professional, add some weird slicing to the edge with a pair of scissors and they will look like another range. Or is the slicing copyrighted?

Sorry about that I'm feeling a bit bad. Being a Jock and all I can't help it Smile
Keep it up Neil mate you could teach somebody a few things I reckon.

These pieces were made for my large HADD8 entry - "Temple of Tears"

You can see the whole building here:

and a close-up of the tiles here

I also wish to add, what a great paint job Donna has done on those casts. Very Happy

We're having a good giggle here. lol! lol!

Donna can take a bow for almost every other paint job but we were told the skulls were Neil's paint work. affraid affraid affraid affraid affraid affraid

cheers cheers cheers Fantastic job on the Temple! great inspiration. I wouldn't like to put more than a hair between it and rollin Jacks. cheers cheers cheers

They both seem to be from a different style of attention to detail. Some of the other entries come close but just don't seem to have left enough time to have really finished their builds.

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes I'm not going to comment on the overall voting which seems to be more than a little 'political'. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

All the best,

Jon

Thanks guys,
You CAN post comments on the models, whether you entered or not.

I won't be entering any more models, unless the system changes.

I find it revealing that the Brits won 4 of 5 categories last year, and we are currently leading in 2 of the 3 we entered this year. :p

One thing I've only just understood is that there seems to be no overall winner.

affraid affraid affraid affraid Gawds I thought the treadmill was going to be the outright winner affraid affraid affraid affraid

Ok it satisfied the brief but 'a mechanical device made in plaster' is somewhat hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... tedious.

I know that there are fantastic American craftspeople so why are the British entries so far ahead of those entered by the Americans and the other person? The only thing I can identify is a far greater tollerance (even verging on liking) for inaccuracy in hand crafted items, whereas we like things to be far more exact.

Herself (who is American) refers to this as a much larger attitude of 'whatever'.

Perhaps it would be easier to understand if they all spoke Sioux, then we'd expect them to act 'all foreign' Wink Wink Wink

Hi everyone.....

I did paint this set of skull and bone titles, although Dee did paint some of eye sockets for me, so they were a joint effort.

thanx

Neil.
